It’s probably not your trainer or training. You are probably among the lion share of Americans that get caught on that never-ending cycle of not fully controlling what, when and how they eat to support their fitness program.
I can’t tell you how many times I ask clients “what did you have for breakfast this morning” only to find a surprise in the answer many give me. Bagels, Cheerios, Fruit or nothing. If I dig a little deeper -- either after, during or prior to a grueling abdominal workout -- about the dinner the night before, I will find a few more surprises about what they drank with it, the side order of fries chosen (but only “six of them eaten” on the whole plate!) or the dessert selected after the “healthy meal.”

Nine times out of ten, the lack of clarity, control and commitment to sound dietary principles leaves most of our fitness regimens in the no results space of “never, ever land” with 2 steps forward for doing the hard cardio and strength training work and 3 steps back for failing to support it with proper nutrition.

Clarity

Consistent consumption of 5-6 small meals daily vs. 1-2 large, calorie-rich meals are necessary to prevent the highs and lows the body will experience by starving it of needed energy. A healthy lean protein with every meal is essential to support muscle development and strength. That means breakfast, lunch, dinner and the two in-between snacks. Complex carbs (vegetables, low-glycemic index fruits) and fiber, grains are essential to maintaining energy for living life, moving the body and building strength. Good fats, (polyunsaturated vs. saturated) like olive oil, canola oil, nut butters, etc., are necessary to the system and cannot/should not be avoided. For a simple example of the recommended meals, try this article, entitled: “Healthy Eating to Support Strength Training,” found at TheStrengthClub.Net.

Control

Control over cravings and daily caloric intake is no easy task. Discipline of mind and body may require additional help and support in the form of education, support groups, coaches, trainers and sometimes, medical interventions, either medications or surgery. I generally recommend that people recognize their own personal state of mental, emotional, physical strength and weakness and then support their goals by embracing the needed tools - and teams - to master the task at hand.

It is better to know where, what and how you need to support your weaknesses --- because they exist for all of us --- then to ignore them and assume you will not be tempted. Exercise control with the support of whatever team of experts will keep you focused, on point and moving directionally forward.

Use your support groups to hold you accountable for actions and behavior. Knowing that you will face both the music - and the choir - every week can make the difference in the daily the decisions you will be forced to make regularly. Over time a new behavior will be learned and your responses will become more internally driven, the steps forward will be consistent and reinforcing of the action.

Commitment

Make the commitment to yourself and to the process. I encourage clients to maintain a holistic view and commitment to the process. In short, given the fact that you have already made the commitment of time, energy and money to changing your life and body with hours of hard work pointed at reducing calories by running, riding and jumping (cardiovascular work) to burn them up; also committed an equal amount of time, energy and money in the training, building and strengthening the muscle (resistance/strength work), don’t waste the time, energy and hard spent dollars to sabotage your efforts by eating the wrong things before, during and after the work above. Commit to the systematic process of eating to support the healthy fitness lifestyle you seek to enjoy.

Anything short of full clarity, control and total commitment takes you a few steps backwards and in the long run will make you feel like you haven’t moved at all.

About the Author
Gina Jackson, MBA, CPT, holds Advanced PFT recognition as a member of the International Association of Fitness Professionals (IDEA); and is certified as a Power Pilates Teacher who made a conscious career and lifestyle change to fitness in 2000. It actually inhibits the growth of cancer cells. Research has also shown that it reduces over cholesterol levels as well as increasing the ratio of HDL (good) cholesterol to LDL (bad) cholesterol.

Here are just some of the ailments that drinking green tea helps:

* cancer
* rheumatoid arthritis
* high cholesterol levels
* cariovascular disease
* infection
* impaired immune function

There is also some research that drinking green tea shows benefits to those wanting to lose weight. Researchers showed that those that consumed caffeine and green tea extract burned more calories than those that consumed caffeine or a placebo. More studies are being conducted to determine if this is valid evidence, but so far it looks encouraging.

If you can eat as many of these superfoods as you can on a daily basis you will be running at peak efficiency and burning maximum calories to stoke the fat burning furnace called your metabolism.

Jayson Hunter RD, CSCS is the author of the Carb Rotation Diet. In the first week all these people, extremely heavy people lost a ton of weight and then the second week really nobody lost any weight.
In fact, to my knowledge, one person gained one pound. So, I want to explain what the confusion is and what exactly happens when you have that rapid weight loss. So, why did people see such amazing results the first week and see none the second week?

If we just use this show as an example. They saw so much weight loss in the first week because they obviously tell you that they are on a special type of diet, they don’t really go into the details of what it is, but I can assume that it’s a higher protein, low carb diet. These people are obviously 300/400 lbs because they were eating too much, they were over eating, ingesting thousands and thousands of calories. So, when they got to The Biggest Loser, of course they restricted those calories and put them on a special type of diet.
Glycogen is created from the carbohydrates and starches that you eat. So, for every gram that you store in your body, you also store 3-4 grams of water. If you look at it from the stand point of maybe someone was eating 500 – 700 grams of carbs and they were storing all this glycogen and they cut it to 200 grams of carbs, well you can also cut out about 3-4 grams of water for every one of those carbs you just cut out. And obviously that’s weight on the scale.
The metabolism kind of goes into shock when this happens so you lose all that glycogen and the extra grams of water which is weight in the end, and then not to mention they were exercising like crazy which none of them had really done before, so they’re going to lose water weight anyway from the amount of perspiration and body changes that are taking place and all the stuff that your body has to do to adapt to that exercise now. Your body generally fluctuates about 3-4% on a daily basis anyway.
If you look at it from the stand point of some of those men are 300-400 pounds, a 3 %- 4 % change could be, 12 pounds in either direction. And obviously women that are 200 lbs or 250 lbs, you’re looking at maybe 10 lbs in either direction, 8 lbs in either direction, somewhere in there. Women tend to fluctuate even more then men in regards to water weight on a daily basis just because of the hormone levels. When you saw the weight loss they were getting, such as 15 lbs, 18lbs, I think someone lost 29lbs. Most of that is the initial shift because of eating less carbs, eating less calories as well as just general water weight loss because of the increased activity that they were now doing.

It’s very important for people to understand that when you start, you can see these dramatic results but it’s permanent lifestyle changes that allow you to have fast, safe permanent weight loss but its permanent in the sense that you can start by taking off 15 – up to 15lbs in 30 days, but things are going to level off, and you have to make behavioral changes, you have to change your life. There are no quick fixes for anything.

If you go to the extreme and say, and again we don’t know exactly what diet The Biggest Loser people are on, but a lot of people go on what they call, a true low carb diet, and a true low carb diet is, maybe 30 grams of carbs for the entire day. It’s low. It’s essentially nothing. When you go on that type of diet it really wreaks havoc on your metabolism, Your goal is to be cycling your carb intake which is going to get you that fast weight loss, but not sacrifice your metabolism because you want that metabolism to be fast all the time. That’s the number one goal.

Your body works a certain way and that’s true for all of us, so you need to know the science behind it and while you can lose weight fast, safely and keep that metabolism up, you’re going to need to make those permanent lifestyle changes to keep it off.

Don’t get caught up in these changes, these extreme changes of “Man how did they lose 30lbs and I can’t lose a pound.” You got to compare apples to apples here and see what positions their in and see what you’ve been in because as you noticed as you watched the second week of the biggest loser, those guys lost 2lbs, 3lbs, someone gained a pound and that’s their body going through that transition and almost going into a survival mode. I think you’ll find that as you keep watching the show; their weight will start to be more consistent where they’ll consistently lose 2lbs of fat a week or 3lbs of fat a week.
You won’t see this wild swing of losing 30 lbs then losing 0 lbs even though they worked just as hard and ate just the same, because your body’s going to adjust, and your body – your metabolism will slowly speed back up and the goal is to try not to get that metabolism to slow down to begin with, try to keep it up at an elevated rate so that it is a consistent, permanent weight loss.

Jayson Hunter RD, CSCS is the author of the Carb Rotation Diet. If I eat these foods will I be skinny?
by: Jayson Hunter Registered Dietitian, CSCS

First let discuss what low glycemic is before we decide if it will help you with your weight loss. Low glycemic foods are foods that when consumed do not dramatically elevate your blood sugar levels. Eating foods that are high glycemic will dramatically increase your blood sugar levels. Your body starts to promote the fat storage of these sugars when you eat high glycemic foods because your insulin level increases.

When women want to know or ask what foods to eat so they can be skinny they are essentially looking for foods that aren’t going to promote the storage of fat. To become low glycemic a food needs to have a mixture of nutrients, be lower in overall sugars and contain a fair amount of fiber with each serving.

For example a piece of white bread is a high glycemic food because it consists of processed and refined flour. A piece of whole-grain bread would be a lower glycemic food because it contains a good amount of fiber and other nutrients that would slow down the absorption of your food.

You should choose foods that are either a good source of fiber or contain some protein and fat so that it is a lower glycemic food choice. Though you also need to look at the big picture and look at what else you are eating for that meal since it is all digested at the same time.

When deciding on a meal you want a balance of a lean protein source, 1-2 servings of vegetable and/or fruit and 1 serving of a higher fiber whole-grain carbohydrate food choice. When eating balanced like this your total glycemic level will be lower, which means your blood sugar levels don’t rise as high and your body promotes fat usage for energy instead of fat storage.

When you eat a lean protein source at your feeding opportunities you are also releasing a hormone called glucagon that is the opposite of insulin and counteracts the effect of insulin by promoting the release of fat to be used as energy instead of storing it.

So my answer to women who want to know what foods to eat to be skinny I would say plenty of foods can as long as you eat them at the right time and in the correct portions. The best way to be skinny is to eat a lean protein source at every feeding opportunity and a vegetable that is a good source of fiber. Stay away from the high sugar soft drinks or fast foods items that are high in fat.

If being skinny is your goal or you can’t lose the weight to fit into that dress then you also have to make sure you incorporate exercise into your program. Nutrition alone may work, but your progress will be much slower. Incorporating the eating principles above along with an exercise program will have you looking stunning in that amazing dress fast!

Jayson Hunter RD, CSCS is the author of the Carb Rotation Diet. The scientists say that it may be unhealthy for you and make you fat. Where as a manufacturer for HFCS says that is not true. Well, here are the facts as we know them right now.

Archer Daniels Midland, a company that makes HFCS, which is the main ingredient used in sodas, ketchup, barbecue sauce, cereals, snack foods and other processed foods says that HFCS does not make you fat.

Health officials and many scientists have conducted studies that show that HFCS may lead to fat accumulation, obesity and other health problems.

What they have been finding is that HFCS readily turns to fat in the body more so than conventional sugar. It is also associated with higher triglycerides and LDL (bad cholesterol).

What I think is even more important to take note of is that HFCS appears to affect your appetite so that you eat more food. It is important to note that this finding isn't just for HFCS. It also applies to artificial sweeteners. Researchers have noticed this occurrence with diet sodas that contain artificial sweeteners.

The reason is because insulin levels do not seem to increase when consuming HFCS and artificial sweeteners. This then means that leptin another hormone which is controlled by insulin does not get released either. Leptin tells your brain when you are full and to stop eating. Without this message you tend to keep eating until you have eaten too many calories.

So what this means is that HFCS may not directly make you fat because of the ingredients, but because you do not get the message that you are full you tend to overeat which results in weight gain and a higher risk for obesity.

Your take home message is to avoid all foods that contain High Fructose Corn Syrup. Go through your cabinets and look at the labels of all your foods and get rid of any foods that contain HFCS. Then the next time you are shopping make sure to choose foods that do NOT contain High Fructose Corn Syrup.

High Fructose Corn Syrup doesn't make you fat by itself, but it most definitely assists with weight gain by increasing your calories consumed. Since we tend to eat many processed foods that contain HFCS our chances of overeating is greatly increased.

Here is a tip to reduce the consumption of HFCS successfully. Replace one food item a week with a non-HFCS product. Better yet replace that food item with a fruit or vegetable. This one little change can have you losing weight before you know it and living a healthier life as well.

Jayson Hunter RD, CSCS is the author of the Carb Rotation Diet. Eat 4-6 small meals day a day instead of the usual 2-3 large meals. Eating frequently will help regulate and boost your metabolism to burn more calories.

2. Consume whole foods that are high in fiber and low in sugar such as lean protein (lean beef, chicken, fish, and whey protein), fruits & vegetables (oranges, apples, strawberries, blueberries, broccoli, peppers, asparagus, carrots, nuts (almonds, cashews, & walnuts), and whole grains.

3. Eat low-glycemic carbohydrates such as vegetables, whole-wheat products and oatmeal instead of refined processed carbohydrates which usually come in a box or a bag.

4. Recommend consuming 25-35 grams of fiber per day. Since the average diet contains only 14 grams we could all use more fiber. Fiber will help satisfy hunger pangs as well as control insulin and blood sugar levels which tend to promote fat storage when they are elevated.

5. Eat some type of lean protein at each meal. Protein helps to satisfy hunger and provide the necessary building blocks to maintain lean body mass while losing body fat.

6. Consume adequate amounts of healthy fat foods such as olive oil, walnuts, almonds, Omega-3 fortified eggs or other Omega-3 products. Healthy fats are great antioxidants as well as help with brain function and many other essentials processes that take place in the body on a daily basis. Essential Fatty acids also help prevent certain diseases.

7. Recommend eating 5-10 servings of fruit and vegetables a day to meet your micronutrient needs. Vegetables also contain a good amount of fiber and help to control appetites and curb hunger.

8. Consume Green Tea or Water instead of calorie filled drinks such as soft drinks. Green Tea has many health benefits and should be drinking 1ml of non-caffeinated fluid for every calorie that you consume. This works out between (8-12) 8oz glasses of Green Tea or Water a day.

9. Balance your fat intake for the day. 1/3 should come from saturated fats, 1/3 from monounsaturated fats, and 1/3 from polyunsaturated fats.

10. If you want to start building habits then you need to follow a plan. Habits are formed by repetitively following a prescribed plan. Therefore map out your meals every day and follow them. If you follow your plan everyday for 2-3 weeks you will form habits that become part of your daily routine and you won’t even notice it. How do you think bad habits are formed? By repetitively doing something over and over again.

11. Include what I call “Superfoods” into your meal plan on a daily basis. These include but not entirely lean meat, salmon, low fat plain yogurt, tomatoes, spinach, mixed berries, whole oats, mixed nuts, olive oil, flax seeds(or flax meal), green tea, and various beans. These are just some of the “Superfoods” who should be incorporating into your daily meal plans.

12. Keep total fat intake under 30% for the day. This can be accomplished by not adding too many extra fats such as butter, sour cream, mayonnaise, etc. This doesn’t mean you have to completely eliminate these items, but do not eat them as a regular food item every day.

13. EXERCISE!! You can lose weight by just following a nutrition plan on its own but very few succeed at it and it takes much longer than when you eat properly as well as exercise. I am not talking about just getting on a treadmill for 30 minutes every other day. Though you can lose weight this way it is not the most efficient use of your time nor maximizing the ability to burn calories. The most effective way to lose fat is by strength training or some type of interval training utilizing strength training and cardiovascular exercises. A properly designed program can burn more overall calories in 20 minutes than 20 minutes on a treadmill. Also, the X factor in all this is that you will burn more calories per minute hours after you finished strength training because of the EPOC effect. Static exercise on a treadmill doesn’t produce this X factor.

14. Record what you eat and drink. You will be amazed at what you consume and not even realize you did it until you right it down and reflect back on the day. Keeping a food log is critical to your success because if modifications need to be made you need something to be able to evaluate and analyze. If changes aren’t happening like you had hoped the answer can usually be found in the food and or exercise journal.

15. Follow the 90% rule. If you can follow your plan 90% of the time then that is enough to have success with weight loss. If you find yourself breaking the rules more than 90% of the time then the chance of being successful with weight loss is not as likely. Your chances of failing increase significantly. Lose the all or nothing attitude and just take one day at a time. Reflect on your day before you go to bed at night and instead of getting down on yourself because you weren’t perfect just set goals to accomplish next day that would eliminate those errors.

Jayson Hunter RD, CSCS is the author of the Carb Rotation Diet. Hydration: Is there a difference
Consume Green Tea or Water instead of calorie filled drinks such as soft drinks. Green Tea has many health benefits and is a powerful antioxidant. You should be drinking 1ml of non-caffeinated fluid for every calorie that you consume. This works out between (8-12) 8oz glasses of Green Tea or Water a day.

2. Benefits of Fiber
Recommend consuming 25-35 grams of fiber per day. Since the average diet contains only 14 grams we could all use more fiber. Fiber will help satisfy hunger pangs as well as control insulin and blood sugar levels which tend to promote fat storage when they are elevated. By simply eating at least 1 serving of fruit and vegetables at every meal should get you to the goal of 25-35 grams of fiber per day.

3. The Importance of Protein
Eat lean protein sources which include; lean beef, chicken breasts, turkey breasts, salmon, low-fat cottage cheese and other low-fat dairy products, and whey protein powders, at every meal. This will also help control insulin levels and satisfy hunger pangs which tend to promote fat storage. You will find yourself naturally eating less food throughout the day if you eat some type of lean protein at every meal.

4. Frequent Meals: Why?
Eat 4-6 small meals day a day instead of the usual 2-3 large meals. Eating frequently will help regulate and boost your metabolism to burn more calories. By also including your protein and vegetables at these meals you will tend to eat less overall thereby reducing your calorie intake.

5. What are Whole Foods?
Consume whole foods that are high in fiber and low in sugar such as lean protein (lean beef, chicken, fish, and whey protein), fruits & vegetables (oranges, apples, strawberries, blueberries, broccoli, peppers, asparagus, carrots, nuts (almonds, cashews, & walnuts), and whole grains.
Try to minimize processed foods that come in a box or a bag. Instead choose whole grain choices such as whole wheat foods, oatmeals, and vegetables.

6. Healthy Fats: Yes, there are healthy fats
Consume adequate amounts of healthy fat foods such as olive oil, walnuts, almonds, or other Omega-3 products. Healthy fats are great antioxidants as well as help with brain function and many other essentials processes that take place in the body on a daily basis. Essential Fatty acids also help prevent certain diseases.

7. Superfoods
These are just some of the “Superfoods” you should be incorporating into your daily meal plans.

8. Fat
Keep total fat intake under 30% for the day. This can be accomplished by not adding too many extra fats such as butter, sour cream, mayonnaise, etc. This doesn’t mean you have to completely eliminate these items, but do not eat them as a regular food item every day.

9. Food Log: Yes, this is the most important step
Record what you eat and drink. You will be amazed at what you consume and not even realize you did it until you right it down and reflect back on the day. Keeping a food log is critical to your success because if modifications need to be made you need something to be able to evaluate and analyze. If changes aren’t happening like you had hoped the answer can usually be found in your food and or exercise journal.

10. Food Labels
Review food labels. Avoid foods packed with excess sugar, calories, or foods that contain any trans-fats. You should be looking for more natural foods and not overly-processed foods. Ingredients to look for and avoid or minimize if they are one of the top ingredients listed in the ingredients list: Sugar, High Fructose Corn Syrup and Hydrogenated or Partially Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil.

If you see these ingredients listed at the top then that means the product is made up of that ingredient as it’s largest source.

Now I don’t expect you to make every change in one day. What I do expect is that if you are serious about living a better life and a healthier life then you need to make these changes over the next 4 weeks. The best way to accomplish this task is to map out your plan. Create meal plans and have a plan of attack in place in regards to what you are eating and when.

You will start to see just how easy it is to live a healthier life and achieve the goals that you desire.

Jayson Hunter RD, CSCS is the author of the Carb Rotation Diet. Whether it be a wedding, class reunion or some other special event there is a tremendous amount of pressure on women to look great. And this pressure often leads to the yo-yo dieting and weight gain that is so prevalent in our society today.

You know the pattern: You starve yourself and seem to drop a ton of weight fast. But then when you go back to your normal eating patterns you gain not only the weight you lost back, but you gain even more!

And it’s all the result of one thing: Starving your body of the nutrients it needs.

As you’ve probably read somewhere by now, your body’s metabolism actually burns more fat when it’s fed more often. So if you want to dress sizes and inches fast you need to be good to your body. And that means eating the foods it craves to help it melt fat.

So here are 5 simple steps you can follow to help you lost twenty pounds of pure fat. And these steps will help you keep the weight off and end – once and for all – the yo-yo dieting dilemma.

Oh, but before I forget, at the end of the five tips I will tell you about a website for you to visit where you can even more great FREE info and even a 30 day meal plan to make your life even easier!

1. Increase Non-Starchy Vegetable Intake

You have probably seen this many times before, but I guarantee it is one of the most important steps to losing weight? Why you ask? One reason is because eating non-starchy vegetables increases your fiber intake which makes you feel fuller quicker.

Second reason is that vegetables are energy consumers. It takes more energy to digest a vegetable than a type of carbohydrate. You could actually be in a negative calorie balance if you compared one carrot’s calories to the amount of calories it took to digest and utilize that carrot.

There are studies that show on average for those that ate 4 or more servings of non-starchy vegetables a day were the biggest losers when it came to weight loss

2. Protein Should Be At Every Meal

To optimally preserve your lean body mass while losing weight it is extremely important to consume some type of lean protein at every meal.

Protein is a great nutrient to prevent you from overeating because it will fill you up quicker.

It is also another nutrient that is energy costly which means it takes more calories to digest and utilize protein than it does a carbohydrate.

Your best sources of protein are beef, chicken, fish, eggs, and dairy.

3. Eat Whole Grain Carbohydrates

Consuming whole-grain carbohydrates regulates your insulin levels and keeps your body from producing too much insulin. This in turn keeps you losing weight.

Large amounts of insulin promote fat storage and fast digesting or simple carbohydrates produce large amounts of insulin. You want to limit or avoid these fast digesting carbs.

By doing this you not only improve your health, but will speed up your fat loss.

Some studies believe that up to 70% of successful weight loss stems from keeping insulin levels in check and to do this means eating whole grains and avoiding simple carbs.

4. Eat More Healthy Fats

Consume adequate amounts of healthy fat foods such as olive oil, walnuts, almonds, or other Omega-3 products.

Healthy fats are great antioxidants as well as help with brain function and many other essentials processes that take place in the body on a daily basis.

Essential Fatty acids also help prevent certain diseases such as heart disease and cancer. Some studies are starting to show that consuming Omega-3 products may boost your metabolism by as much as 400 calories a day.

5. Eat Frequent Meals

There is a direct correlation with eating patterns and volume of food consumed as well as insulin levels

Eat 4-6 small meals day a day instead of the usual 2-3 large meals. Eating frequently will help regulate and boost your metabolism to burn more calories.

By eating smaller portions throughout the day you tend to eat less food overall. You also control your blood sugars because by ingesting a steady state of nutrients throughout the day your body has no need to significantly elevate insulin levels to handle large amounts of food.

Now of course I do recommend you exercise while making these 5 changes to your diet because nutrition and exercise go hand in hand for fat loss. If you make these simple changes to your diet and take part in an exercise program that has you burning calories then you will drop dress sizes and inches quickly, safely and permanently.
Jayson Hunter RD, CSCS is the author of the Carb Rotation Diet. For almost all mothers the changes their bodies incur during pregnancy coupled with the countless responsibilities that motherhood bring spell trouble for regaining their pre-pregnancy figure.

There is no shortage of fitness, diet and fat loss products on the market today. You can find a veritable library of conflicting arguments almost anywhere you choose to seek information on the subject of fitness for women, whether it’s online, at your local library, through contact with personal trainers, or through the (less reputable but nevertheless very common) ranks of wannabe experts: aka, those frustrating people with no qualifications and no practical experience but are self professed experts because they ready the last issue of Shape magazine.

What Sets This Product Apart?

After months of frustration spent trawling through the mass of conflicting information on fitness and fat loss, it was with a mixture of joy and near-tearful relief that I stumbled across “Fit Yummy Mummy”, by Holly Rigsby. As the title suggests, this product is specifically for moms wanting to get fit. Literally all aspects of losing fat and getting fit are covered – and the best part is that it is written specifically for busy moms. The material is presented in a manner both chatty and educational – it’s kind of like having a friendly conversation with a close friend that happens to be a fitness expert (with the added benefit of being able to refresh your understanding of the matter at any given time, simply by scrolling back to the relevant section!)

The tone of the book presents a welcome contrast to the other fitness products so freely available elsewhere on the Net: it’s friendly, understanding of the unique situations moms face, informative, and above all, commonsensical. No unrealistic recommendations, 2 hour workouts, or zero-carb diets here: it doesn’t take long to see that this lady knows what she’s talking about when it comes to mom’s lifestyles (and did I mention she’s a mom too?)

What’s Actually Included?

There’s a quick section on getting started and goal setting along with some morale-boosting advice on how to stay on track throughout the program, and then it’s straight into an action plan to get you started on the path to burning baby fat and getting your body back.

The Supportive Nutrition Plan is next – this is particularly helpful! Every conceivable nutrition issue is covered, from how often you should eat to what you should keep in your pantry. And on top of that, it includes a ‘Create a Menu Planner’ to guide you in creating every meal to support your success.

Next, the Fit Yummy Mummy fat loss workouts are covered, but not without easy to follow explanations of the why’s and the how’s for every part of the workout program. The workout plan even offers four different formats that you can plug into your lifestyle, something not found in any of the cookie cutter fat loss programs on the market. My favorite part of the workout section is that regardless of your exercise (or lack of exercise) background, there is a workout designed specifically for you. And no matter what you fitness level is, none of the workout programs require more than 90 minutes a week.

Finally, there’s a section called the Busy Mom’s Fat Loss Companion crammed with easy to use tools and resources like a goal setting sheet, fitness journal, exercise descriptions and even a ready made grocery list. The author has figured out every excuse and obstacle busy moms have and addressed them all.

Just Because It’s Detailed Doesn’t Mean It’s Confusing

Sound overwhelming? It’s actually very user-friendly. Not only is this e-book packed with sound practical advice and the whole thing is laid out in a very logical and easy-to-understand format, but it comes with a Quick Start Guide to make sure you start acting (and seeing results) fast. The tone of Fit Yummy Mummy light and non-threatening (no scientific terminology here!) and it proceeds in a logical manner from step to step, with plenty of photos and descriptions to ensure that you are doing everything right.

Troubleshooting

In my opinion, one of the best parts: a follow up e-mail coaching series from the author that keeps you on track, gives you daily fitness tips and even healthy recipes. While most moms have the best of intentions, staying on track is tough. This follow up e-mail coaching series is the perfect solution.
The Verdict

Regaining their pre-pregnancy body is a daunting task for most moms, but the author’s personal experience and hands on work with over 250 moms is pretty reassuring; and she certainly knows how to break it down for even the most exercise illiterate. In addition to the main features detailed above, there are plenty of valuable extras included to make getting your pre-baby body back as easy as possible: checklists, do’s and don’ts, printable workout sheets, even ready to follow meal plans!

All in all, two thumbs up from me: when the information on hand is as detailed, easy to absorb, and - above all – reliable as Fit Yummy Mummy, you really can’t go wrong.

Click Here to Download Fit Yummy Mummy here!

Realistic Diet Plans... the 5 Simple Steps to a Perfect Diet for You Specifically

Hi, it's Mike here, back with another Lean-Body Secrets Ezine. First off, let me start with this delicious and ridiculously healthy Lean-Body dinner that I made the other day:

2 tender and juicy marinated/broiled venison fillets - medium rare

1 whole fresh zucchini sliced with fresh diced garlic and onions, and cooked in a touch of olive oil

1 medium sweet potato sliced into thin slivers and slow cooked in a pan with 1 Tbsp virgin coconut oil (can find at certain health food stores), cinnamon, 1/4 cup pineapple juice, and a touch of real maple syrup (organic)

Wow, this was a pretty simple dinner, but it was incredible! This is one of those basic meals that I make frequently, but I always love. Give it a try (or something similar)... your body will thank you!

Every now and then I like to let you in on one of the recent training or nutrition books that I've read and give you my opinion on it. I just recently finished reading Simply Eat by Jon Benson, and I was very excited to find that this book almost fully agrees with my philosophies on food.

Usually, I'll read one of these new nutrition and diet plan books, and they're full of all kinds of crap about needing to eat "low-fat", or "low-carb", or some other low or high something. So I was pleasantly surprised to find that Jon's book breaks down all of the confusion in the world of nutrition today, and simplifies it to 5 easy steps that will work no matter what your specific food preferences are.

One of the things that I really liked about this book is that Jon focuses on whole unprocessed food in its natural state, instead of all of the highly processed junk that fills the grocery stores these days... which coincides EXACTLY with my philosophy on food!

Jon also gives some excellent meal plan ideas that really sound delicious. Anyway, I really enjoyed Simply Eat and recommend you take a look through it. Definitely one of the best nutrition and diet plan books I've read.

Ok, that's all for today. Have a great day, and I'll be in touch soon with more Lean-Body Secrets.

Stay Lean,

Mike Geary
Certified Nutrition Specialist
Certified Personal Trainer
Founder - TruthAboutAbs.com &
A new breakthrough secret is all you now need in order to forever shed countless pounds, stay healthy, and add many years to your life!

A lady doctor from Arizona has blown the lid off the best-kept secret in weight loss ever discovered -- and this has the whole diet food and drug industries turned upside down and in nothing less than a torrential uproar.

Her name is Dr Suzanne Gudakunst, and she's marching to the beat of a different drum.

And no, nothing about her "secret" is difficult -- nor does it require that you do something completely out of the ordinary or anything unnatural.

Instead, the Arizonian boasts proudly "...this is something that I caught onto just before 2002 when there was so much research and exploration going around concerning the human colon and digestive system working in harmony with nutritional absorption, and I started doing independent studies just to test things at first ... but which I later expanded on after seeing some fantastic results."

This same woman medical practitioner went on to accurately determine a definitive correlation between harmful plague and parasitic infestations of the human bowel tract, and people suffering chronic obesity -- and who despite intense diet and exercise appeared to be unable to lose any weight whatsoever.

Over the course of six years the Arizona doctor developed a number of natural treatments for the removal of these same harmful, even life-threatening plaques and rapidly reproducing digestive parasites -- and when applied to even worse-case patients suffering extreme obesity (98% of which were in immediate danger of dying) she saw a 100% effectiveness and success rate.

She then borrowed from her research on the severely obese, and applied the same strategies on milder cases of overweight persons -- only to find the same effectiveness and quality results as described above (although the individual weight loss per subject wasn't nearly as much as those obese patients 100 lbs to 200 lbs or more overweight).

So powerful is her secret that she's able to reverse diabetes, rid illness altogether in people suffering from cancer (linked directly to poor diet and overweight factors), as well as an elimination of an entire spectrum of serious and otherwise life-threatening diseases.

Nearly 100% of all her case subjects were told in the alternative by "conventional doctors" that they either had just months or years to live, or they would never live a life anything resembling remotely a "normal" existence -- yet after applying Dr Suzanne's treatments saw a complete contradiction to others doctors' prognoses.

Again, nothing about her secret is unnatural or requires someone to do any major action or modification in their lives.

In fact, her entire treatment is based completely on built-into-nature 'protection agents' scattered throughout the world in the form of select herbs, extracts, and organic constituents, and which can be found in a variety of plants -- but when combined in specific combinations and carefully chosen amounts make for a solution to what is perhaps the world's worst ever plague: OBESITY (and the illnesses and diseases resulting from it -- or at least severely aggravated or exacerbated by it).

Now to everyone else's great gain, whether suffering from just a few extra pounds and inches, to those extremely fat and overweight, this brave, bold lady doctor is releasing to the general public her secret for forever destroying the tight unrelenting closed-fist of obesity's stronghold over the now more than 40% of Americans labeled obese, and others worldwide.

But she's not promising any of us for how long.

Some experts and sociologists suggest that in the bigger scheme of things, the world will never tolerate a discovery of such magnitude, any more than it would be realistic to expect a car that runs on water (even if very real) to ever become commercially available to the general public for day-to-day use.

One well-respected and famous diet & wellness author wrote years ago that if anyone ever "truly unlocked the keys to permanent fat loss, they may actually suffer the same fate as JFK."

It is currently available at:

=>   Download Here

...so you may want to head on over there now and get it and before someone or "something" gets it forever yanked out of ever getting in YOUR hand at least.

It's in a very easily readable format and is quickly and readily understood and mastered by anyone with even a 4th grade reading level.

While you're there, why not scroll down and review for yourself the huge successes others are now having with this incredible breakthrough in rapid, massive weight loss and extremely improved and enhanced health, now made freely available to the rest of us?

Free Weight Loss Programs - 11 of the Most Popular

If you're looking at getting more fit and trim, there are an infinite number of bandwagons to jump on. Are you in it for the hot body? Are you just ashamed of what you're working with presently? Or do you simply prefer to stay in condition and healthy? Whatsoever the case might be, there are fitness programs spread out all over the World Wide Web, in bookstores and in the gymnasiums, health spas and fitness centers all over the world. The bad thing is that a lot of them are so overpriced and time consuming you might just lose weight trying to figure out how to budget the time and funds needed to maintain these fitness programs.

Guess what? You might not have to pour as much of your valuable time and hard earned money into the gymnasium or the health spa or any fitness center in order to acquire that arousing body you want. There are several books available in the bookstore which provide weight loss programs which are handy and free. Of course the books may cost you a bit on the front end, but you are able to easily go to Amazon and get them used for close to nothing.

There are several weight loss programs and dieting plans out there that are gaining immense popularity with tons of promotion, recommendations and reviews. You could lose weight worrying about which one to go with. To make your pursuit of the ideal weight loss program a great deal simpler, take a little time and read these summaries about the best-selling diet programs out currently.

Atkins' New Diet Revolution by Dr. Atkins. This famed weight loss program promotes high protein diet and a cut back on the carbs. You are able to feast on veggies and meat but you are advised to slow your intake of bread and pasta. You're also not limited on your fat intake, so it's all right to pour on your favorite salad dressing and freely feast on the butter. However, after the dieting, you could find yourself deficient in fiber and calcium while simultaneously high in fat. The intake of grains and fruits are also limited with this celebrated diet.

Carbohydrate Addict's Diet by Drs. Rachel and Richard Heller. This represents another notable dieting plan that also recommends reduced carbohyrate eating. You can consume your meats, vegetables and fruits, dairy and grain products. However, this diet discourages taking in too much carbs. "Reward" meal can be excessively high on fats and saturated fats.

Choose to Lose by Dr. Goor. This weight loss program limits fat consumption. You are given a "fat" budget and you are given the freedom to spend it however you like. You are not forced to keep an eye on your carbohydrate ingestion. Consuming meat and poultry as well as low-fat dairy and seafoods is okay. You are also encouraged to eat up vegetables, fruits, cereals, bread and pasta. This weight loss plan is reasonably good for you, with beneficial quantities of fruits and vegetables as well as saturated fats. Watch triglyceride levels though; whenever you find that they are too high for your liking, reduce the carbohydrates and tuck away more of the unsaturated fats.

The DASH Diet by Dr. Marla Heller. This diet urges limited amounts of fat and protein consumption and high on carbs. It was primarily fashioned to assist people in lowering their blood pressure, so this may be a good option for you if you suffer from hypertension. The diet plan adopts the pyramid food guide and promotes high intake of wholemeal grains in addition to fruits and vegetables and low-fat dairy. There have been some dieters believe that this diet advocates an immoderate amount of eating to procure significant weight loss. But that's easy to fix - eat less, exercize more...

Eat More, Weigh Less by Dr. Ornish. This is principally vegetarian in nature and purely low-fat. This diet gives the go signal on what it deems to be "glow" foods but discourages non-fat dairy and egg whites. This diet also retricts intake of foods like seafoods and lean poultry in substitution for leafy green veggies and beans.

Eat Right for Your Type by Dr. D'Adamo. This is an extremely intriguing program because it is based on your blood type. It advocates plenty of meats for people with the blood type O. Diet plans for a few of the different blood types may be nutritionally unbalanced and too low in calories for those that lead a highly active lifestyle. And for the record, there is not any scientific proof that blood type affects dietary needs.

The Pritkin Promise by Dr. Nathan Pritkin. This dieting program is centered on bringing down the calorie density in eating by loading up on watery foods that will make you feel full. Consuming vegetables, fruits, oatmeal, pasta, soups, salads and low-fat dairy is given the go-ahead. It confines your protein sources to lean meat, seafood and poultry. Even though it is healthy by allowing low quantities of saturated fats and rich amounts of vegetables and fruits, it is also low on calcium and limits lean protein sources. This is remedied by consuming more leafy green veggies and beans, which are high in calcium and proteins.

Volumetrics by Dr. Barbara Rolls. This is another dieting plan that advances low-density calorie eating and advocates the same food products as the Pritkin Principle but limits fatty or dry foods like popcorn, pretzels and crackers. This plan is reasonably healthy given the high amounts of fruits and veggies as well as being low in calorie density and saturated fats.

The Zone by Dr. Sears. This dieting plan is somewhat low on the carbs while moderately high on the proteins. It encourages you to eat low-fat protein foods like fish and chicken plus vegetables, fruits and grains. It is also healthy but deficient in grains and calcium.

Weight Watchers. High on carbohydrates and conservative on fats and proteins, this is an extremely healthy diet plan and very adaptable too. Stand well clear of anything which is supposed to help you lose weight that hasn't been prescribed by your doctor.

After all you already own everything you need to lose weight. You don't need the latest diet program. You don't need more fitness equipment gathering dust in a corner. You don't need a gym membership. You don't need diet foods. How much have you paid in the past for all the diet books and paraphernalia that were meant to help you but had no lasting effect on your weight?

To start a successful natural weight loss program you just need the following basic plan:-

1. Eat good healthy home cooked food

Healthy in this case means low in fat, sugar and salt and with plenty of fruit and vegetables, natural whole grains and lean proteins. There are a ton of fantastic healthy and delicious recipes out there that you can use. You'll find them on the internet, in your own cookbooks or you can borrow recipe books from the library. Select the best meals you can and create a weekly meal plan. Enjoy your food more on your weight loss program than ever before! Plan your meals on a weekly basis and keep to it. Your shopping list becomes your best ally in your weight loss plan.

Eating out is often the downfall in any weight loss program. If you can't avoid it, and especially if you eat out a lot, choose your restaurants with care and select the healthiest dishes from the menu. You could also ask them to prepare something healthy - most good restaurants would be able to provide plain fish or chicken for you with a salad (dressing on the side!)

2. Don't eat unless you are physically hungry and stop eating as soon as you are satisfied.

If you are overweight, you can be sure that you have eaten more food than your body needs in terms of calories. Chances are you've done that both through your choices of food - high in fat and sugar - which bulks up your body without filling you up and also through eating larger portion sizes than you really need of everything.

If you've forgotten what a normal portion is, it's best to think of a meal as being about the size of your two clenched fists. Put that much on your plate to start with and see how it feels to eat that much. About right? Stop there. Too little? Have a spoonful more or fill up on salad or vegetables - you can't do much harm with them!

3. Add as much movement into your day as you can.

Most weight loss programs have an exercise element. Great though this is in theory, it's where many people give up. It's just too demoralizing when you go red in the face, sweating and heart pounding after a couple of minutes when you're supposed to do twenty! Twenty minutes! You're lucky if you can do five. Why put yourself through this when you're clearly not ready?

The best way to add more movement into your day is by walking. Walk everywhere! It's free! If you can afford it, get a pedometer and measure how much you're doing each day. Aim for 10,000 steps every day when you're trying to lose weight - it's also great to stay at that level once you reach your target - it will help you stay slim.

If you're not fit, check with your doctor and start with a few hundred steps, adding to your total every day. If you don't have a pedometer, keep a note of your progress by counting the number of minutes you walk and get a rough idea of the distance you've covered (for example, one block and two lamp-posts), gradually increasing both as you get fitter.

You can walk whatever the weather if you have the right clothes and footwear or you can just walk around your home or the shops - it really doesn't matter as long as you move!

Of course there are more things you can do to lose weight, but these three offer the best start to any weight loss plan. There would be far fewer overweight people in the world if everyone followed these simple and natural steps. Weight loss programs make things complicated because they need to differentiate themselves from each other. They are not just going to tell you the obvious - they have to wrap it up in ratios and percentages, points and calories, rules and regulations until you can't live a normal life and follow them.

Free yourself from the latest diet fad and just start by following these steps. Weight loss, though still not as easy as falling off the proverbial log - we know that is just a fantasy - will happen more easily than ever before and in a completely natural way which gives lasting results.

Copyright 2005, Janice Elizabeth Small

Janice Elizabeth is a successful weight loss coach, slimming club owner and author of "The Diet Exit Plan", an 8 week coaching program for permanent natural weight loss. Eating protein is like pouring lighter fuel onto your furnace! As the flame burns brighter, more calories will burn.

By protein I mean animal protein; lean meat, fish, dairy (cheese, milk, yoghurt, eggs), nuts and seeds. Your choices will vary from meal to meal, and protein should be the first ingredient that you think of. Everything else should be an accompaniment.

Exercise builds lean muscle, which will then require you to eat Protein regularly to help repair and strengthen your body after exercise. This goes for both women and men wanting to remain lean. Both camps may also benefit from supplementing their diets with a quality whey protein powder that you simply mix with milk, water or juice. This is an ideal solution to post-workout nutrition, when you may be racing back to the office or catching up with chores, without time to prepare a full meal. The market is flooded with poor quality choices, so choose a pure unflavoured protein option. Your trainer or local health food shop can advise you.

The more lean tissue you have, the higher your metabolism and the more fat you will burn - even at rest! It makes sense to think Protein. Eating a good source of protein at each meal will leave you feeling fuller for longer too, as it helps to slow down the digestion of carbohydrates. This in turn will leave your body satisfied at mealtimes and less likely to snack poorly between meals. If you are serious about losing body fat and keeping it off, then Protein needs to play a bigger part in your daily diet.

Protein is the building block of your body, essential for the building and repair of tissue including the skin, internal organs and muscles. Without a good daily supply from animal and vegetable sources, your body is likely to be built on pretty shoddy foundations. 'You are what you eat'. Do yourself a favour and eat more protein.

MEAT: Quality will only ever be as good as the diet of the animal that it came from. Choose 'grass-fed' or at least 'free-range' meat. Processed meats - packet meat slices, cheaper sausages and salami - are poor excuses for meat. You get what you pay for. Processed meats contain all sorts of preservatives and additives, and some are not even 100% meat!

Eat a good mix of low-fat proteins such as chicken and turkey breast, and their darker meats. Enjoy organic beef and lamb in moderation. Aim to eat 1-2 meat servings each day.

EAT Chicken Breast, Turkey Breast, Lean Pork, Ham, Pate, Beef / Chicken Liver, Beef, Bacon, Chicken, Duck, Kidney, Lamb, Pork Chop, Turkey, Veal, Game

FISH: Quality depends on where you buy it, and how fresh it is. Try to buy fresh organic from an independent fishmonger. It will taste better and contain less 'low-quality' fats. Avoid buying tinned, packaged or frozen fish, whenever possible. NEVER buy breaded or batter-coated fish!

Second choice should be the fresh-fish counter at your local supermarket. Go for salmon, tuna steaks or cod fillets. When preparing fish, always strip away the skin, and grill or cook on a griddle pan or oven rack, so that juices can run away.

EAT Cod, Sole, Trout, Tuna, Anchovy, Caviar, Mussel, Sardine, Crab, Lobster, Mackerel, Salmon, Scallop, Shrimp

DAIRY: Buy organic. Don't buy battery hen eggs and definitely not economy supermarket eggs! They are high in low quality fats. Leave them on the shelf and buy organic eggs instead. They are high in quality proteins and good quality fats.

If you enjoy milk then please go for a good quality organic option. Your average cow is given growth hormone and antibiotics to make them milk for longer, so you can imagine what your average carton of milk contains! Avoid UHT and long life options.

The same goes for cheese and yoghurt. Don't buy processed. Avoid all flavoured yoghurts (high in sugar) and forget any pre-sliced or 'convenience' cheeses. They are low quality imitations.

EAT Organic: Cheese, Yoghurt, Milk, Eggs, Cottage Cheese and Cream

NUTS AND SEEDS: Although primarily a source of fat in the diet, nuts and seeds are actually a good source of protein too. They are very good for your body - SO LONG as they are eaten sparingly! They should only ever be eaten as a snack item, or as an addition or ingredient in a main meal, and even then you should eat no more than a small handful.

Nuts and seeds are particularly useful for vegetarians, who need to find a variety of non-meat and fish options to up their daily protein intake.

As far as nuts go, please choose your options carefully. Avoid all white nuts as these are bleached, processed and void of fibre. Only eat pure coconut and coconut milk. Avoid roasted nuts as roasting causes the fats and oil content to go rancid. Otherwise enjoy - in moderation.

EAT Nuts: Almonds, Brazils, Cashew, Coconut, Hazelnut, Macadamia, Pecans, Pine Nuts, Pistachio, and Walnut. EAT Seeds: Pumpkin, Sesame, Sunflower, Flax Seed

SIMON'S TIPS: PROTEIN

Make sure you get protein at breakfast. Too many people just eat carbs first thing in the morning. At breakfast have eggs for quality protein or else add nuts, seeds, organic milk or yoghurt to fruit, cereal, oats or bread, to ensure a good intake of protein.

Vary your options. Be adventurous. Try different meats and fish so that you don't get bored with your daily diet. Refer to your meal plan and try to eat several types of meals each week. Don't just stick to one option for breakfast, one for lunch, one for dinner...

Get enough protein in your sandwich. If making your own sandwich, try to use fresh sliced chicken breast, steak or whichever type of meat you prefer. Please avoid packet slices. If buying on the run look for sandwiches with thick cuts of meat. Also check the ingredients. If the chicken is not 100% meat, try to find one that is.

If you are vegetarian, DON'T worry! I haven't forgotten you. There are plenty of ways for you to ensure that you are consuming enough protein, without even touching meat or fish. Refer to the 'Vegetarian Diet' section of your Lifestyle part of this Plan for more details.

REMEMBER: Aim for a Protein portion size the size of the palm of your hand.

Simon Dainton is a Certified Personal Trainer and fat loss expert. Do you know which exercises will help you lose weight and keep it off?

Strength training, also called lifting weights, is one of the most effective ways to lose weight and tone up.

Why is strength training such an effective exercise for weight loss?

• You build lean muscle, which actively burns calories day and night.
• When you strength-train, your body burns more calories after you finish exercising than cardio exercise alone would.
• Your muscles stay challenged.
• Your body gets toned and curvy, the way you want it to look.

Lean muscle versus fat.

The main component of the weight loss puzzle is the first point: strength-training develops lean muscle tissue in the body.

Muscle is always working. Muscle is always burning calories. To burn more calories, you should gain lean muscle tissue.

Unlike muscle, fat is inactive tissue. It just sits on your body, parked, taking up space, looking unattractive!

Starting a Strength Training program.

If you have no experience using weights or resistance equipment, you will want to hire a personal trainer or fitness instructor. They can develop a program to meet your goals, and show you how to exercise properly.

If you do not use the equipment properly, you can injure yourself. Plus, it is unlikely you will meet your goals if you use incorrect technique.

Reps, Sets and Weight.

The amount of weight you will use per each exercise depends on the muscles you are using. Larger muscles, like thighs and back muscles, can take more weight. Smaller muscles, like triceps and rotator cuff muscles, usually require lighter weight.

Always check the weight before attempting to lift it, when you use a weight stack machine!

After your have selected your weight (your amount of resistance, i.e.), next prepare to perform 8-10 repetitions. If you are not feeling challenged by your fourth repetition, then try the next heavier weight. It should feel quite difficult by the eighth repetition.

As you practice your new routine, you will be able to use more weight and do fewer repetitions.

Perform at least 2 sets of each exercise. After a few weeks of diligent practice, you may perform 3 sets of each exercise.

If you are comfortable with the exercises, you may prefer to do 4-8 repetitions per set instead of 8-10. Then read on as if you are determined like me to change the way you look around the abdomen area then with no more than ten minutes effort per day you can make a dramatic difference to your shape and health.

What you need to do everyday is an exercise routine that uses a lot of energy and promotes good cardiovascular circulation. By performing these simple routines on a daily basis will allow you to burn up to one hundred and fifty calories a day.

These one hundred and fifty calories a day can make all the difference so lets get started. The ten-minute schedule begins with performing around two minutes of jump rope exercise. You need to perform two jumps of the rope per turn this is a very good exercise for you if it has been done right. You must take care, as this is an impact exercise so protect yourself by landing properly on the balls of your feet and make sure you use the correct size rope for your size for safety reasons.

You need to keep very positive about the effects of the exercises and remind yourself you are losing weight and feeling better even at first you think I have had enough. The next exercise is the one most people don't like to do but it is very necessary to help with your beer belly removal.

You will need to perform squat thrusts into a push up position this is done by using the following technique. Stand with your feet approx shoulder width apart with your arms straight down next to the sides of your body. Slowly squat down with your head forward and bring your hands to the floor just outside of your feet. You should point your hands forward then in one movement try to push your legs back and out behind you. This then forms the push up position.

By performing one push up and then back to squat position then stand back up for the first couple of times this feels bad but you must focus on the good it is doing you then you know that saying no pain no gain comes from performing exercises like this.

After performing the squat push up exercises for two minutes then switch back to performing jump rope exercises with now only one jump per rope revolution. Keep doing this for the next two minutes and you can really start to feel the blood flow around your body.

After you have completed this for two minutes go back to doing squat exercise but its time to add something extra. After completing your squat thrust and push up lift and rotate your left arm off the ground and over your head. By doing this your left foot will rotate and rest on top of your right foot. Then rotate your necks so you are looking up at the ceiling, rotate back and perform the same position on the opposite side.

Then stand up and perform the same process until the next two minutes are completed. Keep reminding yourself of being able to show off that no existent beer belly on the beach, this works for me all the time.

Now repeat the exercises of minutes three and four concentrating on performing exercise without strain or injury. Use the jump rope for the next two minutes and when complete move onto the next exercise.

Back to doing the squat exercise with this added variation by adding a leg lift. Lift the toes of one foot of the ground about 12 inches or so after you have performed your push up section. Lower your foot and perform the same on the opposite side. Stand up and repeat until you have completed minutes six and seven.

When complete go back to performing jump rope for the next two minutes and keep up your concentration if you feel pain or injury then stop and get professional advice always think about what you are doing and making sure that you perform all exercise without over straining or giving yourself and injury.

Go back to performing squat with this extra variation to be added to the exercise perform a jog in place after each push up by standing up and bringing your knees up to your chest while performing a jog on the spot. Perform at least five jogs during this phase if possible.

The last exercise is back to the jump rope and until your time is up this concludes your exercise for the day you should feel a lot stronger and healthier within days and you should feel better and more importantly start to lose weight around the stomach area.

Best of luck with the exercise remember to be ready for the beach next summer.

Resource Box :-
© 2007 Andy Bolton 39 Liverpool UK Automation Engineer / Divemaster / Hot Air Balloonist / Author / Web Designer.
Hot Air Balloons Wedding Ideas

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Andy_Bolton

Weight Loss Ultimate Package.

Eat Your Favorite Foods to Lose Weight

Burning fat starts in your kitchen. At 90 calories & 14 grams of protein per serving, you can't go wrong using this for one of your snack foods. Absolutely delicious when mixed with yogurt.

Yogurt: Low in calories and filled with nutrients, this food will satisfy your sweet tooth. Provides a bit of protein, and tastes delicious when mixed with nuts or cottage cheese.

Almonds - The fitness nut has all the nutrients you need to stay on track. While it may appear to be high in fat, it's contains the good fat you need to actually burn fat. Believe it or not, our bodies need fat to function. There's no better place to get it than in Almonds.

Chicken Breast - Chicken breast is a staple to any fitness buff's diet. Look No Further!

Which diet works? The answer is the diet that doesn't give you negative side effects, the diet that gives fast results, the diet that makes you lose weight and not gain it back after you're done! There are several diets that do all this but there is one that stands above the rest of them. This is called calorie shifting! It is a dieting technique that enhances your metabolism and increases your fat burning system.

Now you're probably thinking, it must require alot of work right? The answer is no. With this diet you don't have to exercise, you don't have to change your lifestyle, you just have to eat more. What!?!

How is it possible that the diet which works best only requires that you eat more? Well here's the thing, the body has a natural way of knowing what you will eat. This is because it's used to a routine and because of that it's used to burning the same number of calories. So even if you try dieting under normal circumstances and eat less, your body will adapt to this change and burn less calories to keep the routine in check. However calorie shifting will disrupt this.

Calorie shifting is designed so that there is no routine, which is why you will be eating meals in different calorie values. And when your body will be forced to burn different amounts of calories so often each day, it will naturally start increasing your metabolism and will burn more calories so that it can continue it's routine. And when that starts to happen, you start to lose weight very rapidly. So if you're still wondering which diets are the best, look no further because this is it!

If you're still skeptical about calorie shifting, then I recommend you visit this page and pick up a free 20 page weight loss guide explaining calorie shifting and 4 other proven diets which all help you lose weight safely and improve your health at the same time.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Vitaliy_Gershfeld

Weight Loss Ultimate Package.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://weightcontrolhelp.blogspot.com/2007/12/looking-for-diet-which-works-look-no.html' title='Looking For A Diet Which Works? Because with New Year's coming up and having stuffed yourself with all those holidays treats, the thought of starting a new diet is just too frustrating. But if your New Year's resolution is to lose weight weight quickly but at the same time naturally, then there is a way to do that.

There exists a special dieting technique that is more than likely going to help you lose weight after Christmas very quickly. What makes it unique is that this dieting technique is rather easy to accomplish and requires no exercise, no extreme dieting and deprivation. This technique is called calorie shifting with which you can lose up to 10 or more pounds in less than 2 weeks.

Calorie shifting has been around for awhile now but has been kept quiet due to it's unusual style of dieting. It is designed to naturally cause your fat burning system and metabolism to skyrocket and stay that way as long as you keep on continuing the technique. But is it done?

Now this may sound crazy but it works. Calorie shifting is done by eating 4 or more meals a day with every meal being in different calorie values and mixing up the order in which you eat them day after day. This style of eating has been proven to cause your body to raise it's metabolism and fat burning system in order to process this new eating method.

And because this happens, you can begin to experience weight loss very quickly, even during the first day. In addition calorie shifting is very flexible. You can continue eating most of your favorite foods and not deprive yourself like most other dieting methods would.

This is a perfect way to lose weight after Christmas and a great way to fullfill a New Year's resolution to lose weight fast. You know- Low carb is it, or is it low fat?

Eat negative calorie foods. "Eat clean." "Eat clean food." Eat this special cabbage soup. Eat every 3 hours or you will throw your system into starvation mode. Just buy our meals and pay us more when you lose weight. Talk about negative motivation!

If you are like I use to be all the terms, theories, and testimonials are just confusing!

There is some truth to all these. That is why they work in the short run for most people. Long, well that is a different ball game.

The long term is the way you must approach weight loss if you want to keep it off. Deprivation will only make you less likely to keep the weight off. The diet you use to lose the weight needs to be the same basic diet you continue to eat. Just once you reach the weight and fitness level you want to be at you increase your calories. You do need to eat a clean diet, that being one with lots of fresh vegetables and lean meats. Your exact combination of carbs, protein, and fat will vary by person. Don't be afraid to experiment and find the combination that works for you. The ratio that worked for me was 40% carbs, 40% protein, 20% fat. Now I can't get exact but that is what I shoot for.

You need to avoid refined sugar, flour and high fructose syrups. They go into you system quickly and leave just as fast. The affect is a spike in blood sugar followed by a valley. This will cause you to have more and stronger cravings. The peak and valley in your blood sugar is the theory behind eating 5 to 6 small meals a day. Once your stomach shrinks to the smaller meals, when you blow it you will do less damage. At least that is my experience.

The dreaded exercise, Yep folks most of us need to add physical activity to our daily routines. The key is finding something that you will do and does not bore you. Also be willing and ready to change. Doing anything for too long will get boring.

These are the major themes that run through most of the effect weight loss programs. If you follow these suggestions, reduce your calories 15 to 20 percent below maintenance and increase your exercise. You will be on your way to weight loss success.

Alton Morris has struggled with weight problems his whole life. You know without me reminding you that all weight control diets and fitness programs stress that you must have breakfast. They preach this because its true. Very simple. You have fasted all night as you slept. How the hell is your poor body going to drag you around for the day if you don't refuel when you wake up? And you have to refuel with high energy food to be able to function at maximum capacity. A cup of coffee and a cigarette is not a recognised hot breakfast option (and it makes your breath stink) - forget it.

There is no excuse for not eating in the morning. Don't be lazy. Get yourself organised and get some decent food into you every day and you will feel great. You will feel alert as your brain kicks into gear. You will feel resilient and strong and ready to (gasp) exercise as well as work and play.

Forget breakfast on the run. Do yourself the best possible favour and don't eat in the car or when you get to the office (do you really want to scream "I am a disorganised loser" to your co-workers?) Don't eat some well marketed takeaway from a giant fast food chain or a greasy bacon and egg concoction from the local service station. Apart from the risks of drips onto your clothing, you are just shovelling fatty, sugary, salty calories into your body and building up your already overfull stodge deposits. You are worth much more than that.

Work out a high energy breakfast that is quick to put together and that you can learn to like or even love. You may choose to prepare it the night before to give you more flexibility during your morning rush.

Here are some breakfast suggestions that work for a weight control diet.

Muesli with low fat yoghurt. Not toasted muesli (fat, remember), but oats, dried fruits and nuts which you may need to moisten in a little water(not fruit juice) the night before. You only need about 1/3 cup of muesli plus the yoghurt, but it will make you feel full and give you stacks of energy.

Banana smoothie or protein shake. Use skim milk to mix with either a banana, a spoonful of wheatgerm and a splash of honey or a commercially available protein shake. The frothy milk will fill your stomach and the fruit or protein mix will take care of the energy levels you need to attain.

Wholemeal (wholewheat) toast with baked beans (fibre plus) or a decent breakfast spread. Take 2 pieces. Try without butter if you can manage it. This will be enough to fill your stomach and have you avoid an inappropriate treat mid morning when your neglected guts are groaning like a halloween ghost from lack of breakfast sustenance.

A weekend treat. On the weekend, make breakfast last a bit longer and have a bit of a treat, according to your taste. Boiled or poached eggs with a little ham or salmon and toast or a croissant with a little jam would do no harm.(ditch the butter and stick to just one croissant) Or go for a couple of slices of fruit toast.

You can't live every day of the week on muesli or protein shakes; the boredom would send you mad. But you can make a pact with yourself to eat a good breakfast every day with a weekend treat.

The breakfast you choose must give you the energy to start every day with enthusiasm and commitment.

Try it, get into the habit. You will never regret it.

Rosie Peters gives common sense advice, encouragement and tips for weight loss, sensible diet and lifelong fitness.
